Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (COAPD)

The Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (CAPD) is excited to welcome Dr. Sarat Thikkurissy to the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention on Friday January 18 to speak on the “Diagnosis, Treatment, and Impact of Pain in the Pediatric and Adolescent Patient” and “Preparing and Rescuing the Pediatric Airway in Pediatric Procedural Sedation.” We are also sponsoring “Moderate Oral Sedation for the Pediatric Dental Patient” on Friday February 22-Saturday February 23 at Children’s Hospital Colorado. In addition to increasing continuing education offerings, CAPD has also committed to support the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine’s outreach program in Guatemala, which brings both dental students and pediatric dental residents to serve a population which does not otherwise have access to dental care. Our next meeting will be a luncheon at the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention on January 18, followed by a spring continuing education meeting in April 2019 (exact date TBD) at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
