Missouri Report – October 2021

By the time of this printing we will have had our annual meeting of the MOAPD on September 18th. This year is a first for us as we held it as a hybrid event with 11 people attending in person and another 34 attending virtually. Our speakers were also a mixture of virtual and in-person with Drs. Tim Wright and LaRee Johnson presenting on Facts, Features, and Fixes for Molar Incisor Hypoplasia. Our yearly business meeting is conducted at this event as well and we had a good discussion. We continue to work as an academy to recruit members to become medicaid providers and advocate at the state level for improved reimbursement and streamlined administration. We are also working with the Missouri Dental Association to help some of our members that are having trouble with their local hospital dropping dental OR coverage.
