MOAPD Report – November 2024

In September, the Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry had its annual CE and business meeting. It was well-attended and featured Dr. Juan Yepes giving a lecture on radiation safety and lead shielding guidelines. We have also seen positive outcomes with our advocacy efforts, getting a fee increase for extraction codes as well as shoring up facility fees for hospitals as well as ambulatory surgery centers. We continue to work toward adequate facility fees for our in office anesthesia providers where the bulk of surgery cases are currently being completed.
