Dr. Ashley Popejoy graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City dental school in 2012 and received a certificate in pediatric dentistry and Master of Oral Sciences from University of Illinois-Chicago in 2014. She is currently the director of pediatric dentistry at Jordan Valley Community Health Center in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Popejoy’s passion is to serve her community by treating pediatric patients who otherwise would not be able to access care by overcoming their barriers to care- whether that be financial, transportation, or special health care needs. She is the clinical director for Special Smiles for Special Olympics of Missouri, the immediate past president of the Missouri Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and will be an alternate delegate for the ADA House of Delegates in 2023. Dr. Popejoy has worked in an FQHC with a primarily Medicaid population for the past 9 years and is directly involved with state initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the dental Medicaid program. She lives in Nixa, Missouri with her husband, Brian, of 16 years and three beautiful children, Jack, Parker, and Ellie.
