President’s Message – June 2022

The 75th anniversary of AAPD meeting in San Diego was so much fun! I loved seeing familiar faces and meeting some new friends. The SWSPD caucus was held on Saturday, May 28th. We had reports from all member states, along with discussion about these reports. The biggest discussion was about Colorado’s dental therapist legislation.

Our next continuing education meeting is coming up July 21-23 at the Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It’s gorgeous in the winter, and we’re so excited to be here in the summer. There’s fishing, hiking, exploring, and more. Our speaker will be Dr. Catherine Flaitz, and she will be speaking about pathology associated with COVID-19. We’d love for you to join us! Registration for the 2023 ski meeting in Telluride is open now. The meeting will be February 5-10. This meeting is a great time, even if you don’t ski. There is a lot of excellent continuing education, socialization, and laughs! Registration and more information is available at swspd.org.
